Welcome Back, Tussahaw Families! 🐻

What a wonderful start to the school year! It was great welcoming our Grizzlies back to Tussahaw, and we appreciate everyone who helped make the first day a success. We are looking forward to an amazing year of learning, growth, and fun!

As we continue through the first week of school, here are a few important reminders and helpful resources.

📚 Back-to-School Information

• School doors open at 7:10 AM.

🚌 Transportation

• Please continue to expect some delays with bus transportation during the first week as routes become established.

• Download the HERE COMES THE BUS app to receive updates on bus arrival and drop-off times.

• For transportation questions, please contact Henry County Transportation at 770-957-2025.

• Transportation changes must be submitted to the front office in writing by 12:00 p.m. so teachers can be notified.

🚗 Car Rider Reminders

Thank you for your patience during arrival and dismissal!

• Please follow the directions of all TES staff members to help keep everyone safe.

• Remain in the designated car rider line when dropping off or picking up students.

• If you choose to walk your child to the building, please park in a designated parking space and walk them safely across the crosswalk.

• Please do not use the parking lot as a drop-off lane.

⏰ Student Checkouts

To help ensure a smooth dismissal process, all student checkouts and front office requests must be completed before 1:00 p.m.

💬 Stay Connected

• Download the ClassDojo app to receive schoolwide and classroom updates. Your child's teacher will provide the class code if you have not already joined.

• Follow our Tussahaw Elementary School Facebook page to see celebrations, announcements, and highlights throughout the school year.

🍎 Nutrition Information

• Breakfast: $1.75

• Lunch: $3.00

1. Please be aware that once a student meets the max charge, they will receive an alternative meal for lunch if their account is not current. 
2. Please log in to Infinite Campus Parent Portal to access and complete the Free and Reduced Lunch digital form.
   1. Whether you qualify or not, the school and lunchroom receive funding based on these numbers. Please complete this and support TES and our nutrition program. 
   2. Please CLICK HERE to pay online. You may also send money securely with your student to school
