Embracing Diversity and Collaboration
At Tussahaw Elementary, we partner with our stakeholders to advance the educational experiences of our diverse community, using our differences to instill in our students a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves, their families, their school, and their community.
Focus: ON - Promoting Distraction-Free Learning Environments
Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.
STEM for All
HCS is cultivating a dynamic learning environment that includes offering science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities across all grades.

Congratulations to our 2026 Teacher of the Year, Señora Cruz! Not only has she brought an amazing world language program to Tussahaw, but she was also recognized as the 2026 Exemplary World Languages Teacher Award recipient. We are so proud of her dedication, passion, and impact on our students every day!
Congratulations to our amazing Educational Support Professional of the Year, Mrs. Saunders! 🎉 From serving as our permanent substitute to now making a difference as an ESE paraprofessional, she continues to positively impact our school every day.
